Personalized music programs have been shown to reduce agitation, decrease reliance on antipsychotic medications, and improve quality of life for residents living with dementia. This project equips participating facilities with music devices, licensing, playlist-building support, and staff training to run a sustainable personalized music program.
What participating facilities agree to
- Identify residents who may benefit from personalized music programming
- Designate a staff champion to coordinate the program
- Complete provided staff training on program implementation
- Report program participation and outcomes to the project administrator
